Ethical Labor Practises

[eth-i-cal]

business policies that ensure fair treatment, safety, and dignity for workers.

Ethical Labor Practises: protecting people through ethical practises

Sustainable Agriculture Group (SAG), is committed to upholding human rights and maintaining ethical labor practices throughout our agricultural operations and supply chain. We recognize that modern slavery and human trafficking remain global challenges within agriculture and related industries, and we are committed to taking responsible steps to prevent these practices within our business activities.

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to forced labor, bonded labor, involuntary prison labor, child labor, servitude, and human trafficking in any form. We believe all workers must be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect, and must work voluntarily in safe and lawful conditions.

Our commitment applies across all areas of our operations, including farming, harvesting, packing, processing, transportation, labor recruitment, and supplier relationships.

Our Approach

To support responsible labor practices, we are committed to:

  • Promoting ethical employment practices across our operations;

  • Providing safe and respectful working conditions for employees and contracted workers;

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable labor and employment laws;

  • Prohibiting the confiscation of identity documents, coercion, intimidation, or recruitment-related exploitation;

  • Opposing all forms of child labor and forced labor;

  • Encouraging transparency and accountability within our supply chain; and

  • Supporting workers’ rights to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.

Governance and Continuous Improvement

Responsibility for human rights and ethical labor practices is supported by company management and integrated into our operational standards and sustainability objectives.

We continue to strengthen our policies, awareness, training, and monitoring processes to support continuous improvement and responsible business conduct.

Through these efforts, SAG aims to contribute to a more ethical, transparent, and sustainable agricultural industry while protecting the wellbeing and dignity of all workers connected to our business.
